Project: Kapusta (Financial Notebook Web Application)

Project Overview:
"Kapusta" is a web-based financial notebook application designed to help users track their income and expenses. Our team of 9 QA testers was responsible for ensuring the application's quality and reliability before its release.

My Role:
I was responsible for testing the front-end and back-end functionality of the authorization page, ensuring secure and user-friendly access for users.

Responsibilities:
- Analyzed user stories and use cases provided by the business analyst to understand expected authorization page behavior.
- Created detailed checklists in TestRail covering positive and negative test cases for both front-end and back-end, including boundary value analysis and equivalence partitioning.
- Executed functional, UI/UX, and security tests.
- Wrote clear and concise bug reports in Jira, providing developers with the information needed to reproduce and fix issues.
- Collaborated with the team to provide overall recommendations for improving the application's quality.

Testing Methods:
- Utilized positive and negative testing methods to ensure the authorization page correctly handled valid and invalid input data.
- Applied black box testing techniques, specifically:
Boundary Value Analysis: Testing the system's behavior at the extreme limits of input parameters (e.g., minimum and maximum password length).
Equivalence Partitioning: Dividing input data into equivalence classes and selecting representatives from each class for testing.

Technical Skills:
- Proficient in using browser developer tools (DevTools) for front-end testing.
- Experienced in API testing with Swagger.
- Familiar with UI/UX design tool Figma.

Challenges:
Ensuring the security of the authorization process was a key challenge. I collaborated closely with developers to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.

Results:
Identified and reported 5 critical bugs related to authorization, all of which were resolved before the application's release.
Contributed to the overall improvement of the application's usability and security.
