Резюме
Development of any kind of software or website requires clear understanding of users’ needs. The software could be useless if programmers made it without usecases research and proper UX testing. I would like to help you to make these preparations in several steps:
Step 1. Collecting of usecases.
This is fieldwork with future customers and software that already is used by customers. I write down all usecases and describe which feature of future software could fulfill users’ needs. Users decide what is more important and which one should go to next release. The result of this step is detailed table with all possible usecases. This document has to be confirmed by all stakeholders.
Step 2. Wireframe UX prototyping
Features from Release 1 are developed by our UX designers in wireframes. Every feature is carefully tested by users and all new information has to be added to usecases. Clickable prototypes and software map are the result of this step.
Step 3. Software Requirements Specification
I write a Software Requirements Specification (SRS) that consists of detailed information of every feature, page and action of the future system. We will describe hardware software interfaces, functionality, security requirements etc. This document is very important for programmers to build a system and it is also important for product owner to control developers.
Step 4. Production
My designers participate in production stage because they create UI (user interface) for every page of the system. This UI will be developed by programmers in front end. The results of this step are mockup files for all pages in different screen size (1170 / 970 / 750 / 320), icon sprites, list of styles (fonts, colours etc).
Step 5. Usability research
The software has to be tested after implementation with usability tests. Is the system clear and understandable? I could make quality and quantity tests to figure out the level of software usability and propose changes that must be done in UI to fulfill users’ needs.

Rapid prototyping
There was very tough deadline. Therefore I decided to work with rapid prototyping method first. I created fast design for pages without any programming of elements in prototype. There were just links between pages. The product manager approved them or gave feedbacks.
Rapid prototyping is good only at the beginning. Then I began to develop prototypes with interactions and scripts. I supplemented every prototype with written scripts that contained tasks that users had to accomplish. These sophisticated UX prototypes demonstrated the whole user flow.
UI: Atomic Design
Procurement system is quite a big web service. I could not afford to make UI for every page and breakpoint. That would be surplus. Therefore I suggested to use Atomic design.
I sent all created UI components and several samples pages to developers. They approved that it was enough to develop the whole system.
Landing
There was extra task to redesign the website. I analysed all UX/UI mistakes first and redesign it afterwords.

Ukrainian parliament made a new law that require all mobile phone users to be officially registered. Customers of all mobile operators have to add personal information to their accounts. Information must be proved by personal ID or digital signature.
Vodafone Ukraine company decided to implement this law. It outsourced software development to Ukrainian IT company Document.online. This company has big experience in introducing of electronic document interchange to Ukrainian market. UX/UI development was outsourced to me.
… Successful project should have good cooperation between designers, programmers and QA. We created many useful documents (UML diagrams, user journey scenarios etc) to make it easy. Also modern technologies as Axure and Figma made the implementation process fast and clear. We had live chat between all participants to solve problems immediately they appeared.
We are happy to work with such a big company as Vodafone that has their own identity written in the style guide. Also I am very glad to cooperate with Document.online that is brilliant example of software development company with high technical level and smart IT team. And I am happy for our country that created so strange law that gives our designers this job. less

Helsi is a modern online medical system. It was made for convenience of patients and doctors both in private and governmental clinics. It has over 2 000 000 users already and grows fast.
UX research
… The project started from two professionals - UX designer and business analyst. We settled in a headquarter of one private clinic and made deep research to figure out business and users needs.
UX design
UX designer started to develop first prototypes in high fidelity. After a while we changed this technique to low fidelity because there were a lot of changes during development. Therefore designers spent too much time to change pixel perfect mockups again and again.
Prototypes were just clickable images at the beginning. They became interactive after introducing of Axure and all features this software had.
UX and usability tests
We had not too much time during development, therefore we frankly could not make many tests. But the most crucial parts were tested with right amount of users. There were two different kind of tests:
UI kit and design system
The system was quite large. UI designing for different breakpoint was very time consuming. We created UI kit first and then turned it into a design system that represent our philosophy, component-based UI and all knowledge about interface behaviour. The design system allowed us to reduce time for development because programers could build the system from ready-to-use bricks (components). Also it reduced quantity of wrong communications between designers, programmers and QA

In 2014 I began work on redesign of the online accountinging service iFin.ua.
Usability research
When I started working with the system, it had already had 300,000 users. 10% of them actively used the website 4 times a year. I decided to rebuild the design of the website completely, but there was a risk that loyalty of existing customers could decrease. New innovative and user-friendly interface would have attracted attention of new users, so customer decided to take a risk.

Old interface was built on the standard Bootstrap design.
Rebranding
My main objective was to make new interface simple to use. In addition, I had to add an aesthetic UI to it.
Unique icon set
I've developed a set of icons that greatly improved usability of the interface and reduced user's eye strain. I used only 2 colors (blue - neutral, red - some action is expected).
Modal windows
I maximally simplified the overall look of the interface in order not to confuse new people in accounting sphere. I hide all secondary information in modal windows.
Simplified access to account
I made possible to login using electronic keys. Login process became accelerated (you don’t have to enter email and password) and it literally increased level of service security.
Branded ads style
I’ve developed characters that personified iFin employees for advertising purposes. They were used on online banners and printed booklets.
Development of the new functional
After I have installed the new interface of website we developed a new functionality about document interchange between contractors.

This service arrange all the information users need from Project Server and presented in a visual format to help them make decision. Customers could build dashboards and reports in minutes for portfolios, programs and projects.

Архитектура, прототип и интерфейс web2print сервиса
Павел очень быстро понял суть задачи, чувствуется опыт проектирования программного обеспечения. Постоянно был на связи, опережал ожидания по срокам сдачи. Считаю это удачным опытом сотрудничества, тем более это оне первый подход к этой задаче и мне есть с чем сравнить. В целом хочется продолжить сотрудничество.

Прототип в Axure
Благодарен данному исполнителю за участие в проекте!
Было поручено доработать 20 имеющихся страниц и разработать 20 новых. Павел провел анализ всего что имеется и предложил свой вариант и виденье реализации страниц. Подмечу что исходной информации было предоставлено очень мало-диалог около часа и краткое описание деятельности компании.
В результате мы с коллегами были удивлены быстрым предоставлением результата. Спустя пару дней мы получили около 30 новых страниц, которые имели логический смысл быть та сайте и отвечали качественному юзабилити.
Мы начали усложнять функционал страниц и сайта в целом. Павел и его команда очень быстро вносят дополнения и корректировки. Брак страниц был минимален и по причине не правильного построение ТЗ с нашей стороны! Приняли решения продолжить сотрудничество и приступили к второму этапу.
В ходе работы над прототипом в Axure, Павел давал грамотные советы и рекомендации по разработке в дальнейшем, предложил множество вариаций оптимизации функционала-в целях снижения стоимости и сроков разработки. Команда всегда на связи, что немало важно.
Добавлю, над этим проектом работали несколько то команд до, и в итоге мы получали в ответ «невозможно», «не реально», «очень сложно»-потраченные ресурсы и много время. Обратившись к данной команде очень быстрая и качественная реализация и в ответ «Ок, супер!». Не смотря что договорились о работе в рамках бюджета, ниже чем обычно работаю данные профессионалы, это ни в коей мере ни сказалось на качестве!
С уверенность могу сказать что Павел Салига и его команда являются профессионалами в области UX/UI дизайна. Продолжаем сотрудничать над завершением этапов проекта и рассчитываю на работу в дальнейшем над усовершенствованием.
