Automation QA Engineer

About the Project
Our client is a professional organization delivering cost effective software solutions and professional consultancy services to the international commodity trading industry (both producers and traders). It serves clients in the metals, agricultural and energy markets where risk is involved. It was established in The Netherlands in 2009 and currently operates internationally from The Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Singapore and Australia.
Requirements:
At least 3 years experience in test framework development using various testing tools and technologies like Selenium
Understanding and experience with relational databases and ability to write SQL queries
Hands-on knowledge of bug and feature tracking systems
Good knowledge of and experience with:
- Scripting/Programming – preferably VBScript
- Automated test tool experience – preferably Selenium
- Knowledge/familiarity with other technical concepts and tools: SQL, XML, SOAP (web services)
Experience in implementing automated (functional and technical) tests
Preferably ISEB/ISTQB certified
Experience in an Agile development environment
Results driven and you like to work independently
Able to communicate fluently in English
Good communication and interpersonal skills and you are a team player
Responsibilities:
Understanding new product and system functional requirements to create and execute corresponding test plans and test cases in order to ensure that overall quality is delivered
Analyse manual tests to determine automated script conversion feasibility
Draw up test scripts, data needs/details, lifecycles, etc. to realize a test environment in accordance with quality standards and to ensure a quality delivery
Execute, maintain and report the results of automated regression and integration tests on various modules of the application
Coordinate, execute and/or ensure the execution of automated test scripts, and lifecycles, in line with defined procedures, processes and plans
Analyse, register and file results of testing procedures and report these results and required actions to Project Manager and/or developers, in order to give insight in testing results and required actions
Provide thought responsibility, expertise, and technical guidance, for implementation of tools, utilities, and processes which improve testing efficiency
Share knowledge and train less technical resources in best practices for efficient use of automation technologies and tools
Support testing related tools, automation frameworks, environments, and infrastructure
Ensure complete traceability from requirements through to testing
Create and implement regression tests cases and tests plans
