Ambitious and Passionate Front End Developer wanted for Kitchen Robot Startup
Suvie is the maker of the Suvie Kitchen Robot, a multi-zone cool to cook robot that makes gourmet quality meals with little effort. We are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Front-end Developer to join our team to help us tackle a number of growing front-end challenges. As our lead Front-end Developer, you will be responsible for all visual elements that our users interact with inside our web applications and mobile app, which makes your role crucial for the success of our business. You will work directly with our CTO.
At our company, you will be working with the latest technologies which includes React, Redux, Redux-Thunk, Redux Saga, SASS, Bootstrap 3 & 4, Gulp, Webpacker, Ruby on Rails, React Native, and Wordpress. Therefore, skill with these technologies will be preferred in our candidates. As well as a candidate who loves tasting food, as we have a lot of food sitting around our office.
This position is a position based at our office in Cambridge, MA.
Front-end Developer duties and responsibilities
Use a variety of programming languages in order to create user-friendly web pages
Maintain and improve company websites and mobile app
Work in multidisciplinary team with other professionals such as back-end developers and web designers
Optimize our web applications for maximum speed
Design mobile-based / responsive features
Always stay consistent with our brand guidelines
Get feedback from users and customers
Make suggestions for better solutions to problems
Keep abreast of latest and emerging technologies
Front-end Developer requirements and qualifications
3 years of experience as a Front-end Developer
Special consideration will be given to those with the following skills: React, Redux, Redux Saga, SASS, Bootstrap, Gulp, Ruby on Rails, React Native, and Wordpress.
Excellent knowledge of browser troubleshooting and debugging practices and techniques
Knowledge of some SEO principles
3 years of experience with JavaScript, CSS and jQuery
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Team player
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
BA in Computer Science or similar relevant field
