Wordpress Developer

dNovo Group is a leading Digital Agency with headquarters out of Toronto for the past 15 years and provides unique consulting services for web design and digital marketing to its clients across Canada.

dNovo Group is seeking a PHP developer with experience in Wordpress to join its team of digital marketers.

We are looking for more of a Front -End Developer

Responsibilities:

* Work closely with Project Manager to modify existing website, add content, visual elements
* Setup WordPress development
* Experience with Elementor, Divi and other wordpress builders
* A strong knowledge of WordPress plugins
* Design websites that has a WOW factor and is full mobile responsive
* Correctly optimize images for the web according to Google SEO standards
* On-Page SEO Optimization


Work Expectations:

* Available at least 30-40 hours per week
* Availability to work on EST Time zone 9- 17:00 (some flexibility is available on this for the right candidate)
* You will be expected to be on Zoom Video Conference daily and to provide detailed reports of progress of what you are working on Trello
* Attention to detail and ability to use common sense to solve problems on existing websites.


Experience and Skills:

*Expert in Wordpress and possess advanced capabilities
*Excellent spoken and written English
*Must have 2-3 years experience on PHP and Wordpress websites in a professional environment
*Ability to customize existing themes.
*Strong HTML & CSS capabilities and must possess the ability to convert HTML websites onto Wordpress CMS
*The candidate must be familiar with various plug-ins and integrations with Wordpress CMS and must know how to work with HTML, APIs, JavaScript, CSS and JQuery
*Competence to create websites which are Google/Search Engine friendly and conduct on-page SEO with adherence to the latest Google updates.



Additional skills that are a bonus:

- Website design abilities
- Possess skills on infrastructure side with server setup and web hosting and email set up.
- Experience with conversion optimization
- Familiar with Photoshop, Illustrator or similar photo editing software


This position is NOT for:

Beginning designers (if you don’t have a great portfolio to share, please do not apply)
