Private virtual server performance problem solving
The client complained about the performance problem of the online store. The site practically did not work, although the server was powerful enough.
My task was to proceed with analysis and run a health check of the private virtual server used for hosting of the WordPress-based website. Figure out the reasons for the server's regular outages. Come up with fixing and improvements suggestions.
As a result of a long and painstaking work, several problems were discovered at once. The database needed repair. The site required a major upgrade. MariaDB was poorly optimized.
The following works were done:
1) Made repair and optimization of all databases.
2) Configured the optimal configuration of MariaDB, which was repeatedly tested before launch.
3) Updated WordPress and parts of plugins. All unnecessary plugins were disabled.
4) Long tests and server monitoring were performed.
5) The client has received detailed consultation reports.
As a result of the work, the client’s site is functioning perfectly again and is ready to process even more orders.
