I was inspired to draw the cover by a story a friend told me about her relationship with her boyfriend. The kisses symbolize the beginning of the relationship, when everything was fine, and the crucified
bear symbolizes the end of the relationship because it shows manipulation, abuse and violence. "The Beginning of the End" is an apt title because she wrote a mini-book for him where she wrote about her abuse and betrayal by him.
