SEADEPTH | Marine Navigation & Fishing Maps App | UI UX
SEADEPTH is a mobile navigation application designed for offshore anglers and boat users who rely on precise underwater terrain data.
The goal of the product is to help fishermen locate productive fishing areas using high-resolution bathymetry maps, drift analysis, and waypoint management.
1. Registration & Login
Users can create an account using their email and password or sign in quickly with Apple. The email flow includes secure verification to ensure account safety, while Apple Sign-In provides a fast, seamless onboarding experience with minimal friction.
2. Main Screen Map
The Main Screen Map is the core navigation interface of the app. It displays the user’s real-time position, heading, speed, and detailed marine charts with depth contours and underwater terrain.
By tapping the flag icon, users can quickly access key tools such as Ruler to measure distance between points, Drift Test to analyze vessel drift and current direction, or Add Waypoint to save important fishing or navigation locations on the map
3. Route
The Route To feature allows users to build a direct route to any selected point on the map. After choosing a waypoint or location, the app instantly generates a route line and displays key trip details, including estimated travel time and total distance.
4. The Drift Test
The Drift Test feature helps users understand how wind and current affect the movement of their vessel. By starting the test while the boat is stationary and in neutral, the app records the natural drift direction and speed.
The results are displayed on the map with directional arrows, allowing users to see how the vessel moves relative to water conditions. This helps anglers position their boat more accurately and plan their fishing strategy.
5. Other screens
As part of the design process, 100+ screens were created to cover the full functionality and user flows of the application. These screens include onboarding, authentication, navigation tools, chart purchasing, subscription management, and various map interaction features.
In addition to the primary mobile layout, adaptive versions were designed for landscape orientation and tablet devices.
