I am looking for a designer to create a French-Ukrainian picture dictionary for kids (100-150 pages)
There is already a ready test layout of the book, based on which all other pages need to be designed.
No drawing is required. Knowledge of French is not mandatory, I will fully support this part.
Main tasks for the designer:
carefully and beautifully arrange illustrations and captions on the pages;
create a title page and back cover;
prepare all pages for printing considering printing requirements;
maintain the style, cleanliness, and logic of a children's publication;
provide professional advice on optimal formats, fonts, colors, and technical preparation of the layout.
Open communication and the ability to agree on style at each stage are important.
Requirements for the designer:
experience with publishing layouts;
understanding of the technical requirements of printing houses (margins, bleed, CMYK color profiles, preparing PDF for printing);
ability to properly position and align elements so that the final product looks professional.
I am looking for someone who has already created book layouts and clearly understands how to make a layout ready for printing at a printing house. This is critically important!
Please attach works of any publications with color illustrations; real examples of works that have already been printed.
