Telegram channel with selections of relevant products with honest discounts and promotions. The goal is to build a stable flow of buyers through Telegram and create a community of people who monitor the best offers daily.
Main tasks:
Launch a Telegram channel from scratch
Ensure scalable audience acquisition through Telegram ADS
Test different product categories
Prepare an automated funnel for monetizing traffic through affiliate programs
Pitfalls:
The niche of product Telegram channels is very saturated, so the main challenge was to find "hooks" that would distinguish the channel from competitors. Additionally, the cost of traffic fluctuated significantly depending on the season (peak during sales and holidays). We used a strategy of short wave launches — 3-5 days — to quickly test product categories and optimize CPM.
What was done:
1. Developed the visual style of the channel: simple, contrasting, without text overload
2. Launched 8 advertising campaigns in Telegram ADS with different formats (banner, image with CTA, native post)
3. Tested creatives focusing on the triggers "discount" and "limited time"
4. Established traffic flow from affiliate channels and bots with cashback offers
Strategy:
We bet on an emotionally-triggered approach — advertising was launched in waves during real sales and seasonal trends:
• promotions for Black Friday
• discounts on gadgets
• home goods and gifts
Thanks to this, we achieved a CTR above average (0.85%) and a stable subscription conversion of ~42%. The average cost per application was 5.2 UAH, which is 30% lower than the average in the e-commerce channel niche on Telegram.
Results:
Budget: 88,570 UAH
Applications: 17,032 pcs
Cost per application: 5.2 UAH
