"Abi-Aka and his daughter Arzi"

Illustration and design of a children's book "Crimean Tatar Legend about the Misshore Mermaid".
This legend is a sad story about the kidnapping of a girl into captivity and a deep trauma that forced her to take her own life along with an unwanted child.
I decided to create illustrations for this dark legend to convey its heavy content in an understandable form. Thus, even children will be able to realize the importance of freedom for a person.
Moreover, this project is an important contribution to the representation of Crimean Tatar culture, which still faces repression today.
