Architectural project of a villa in the tropics (Indonesia)
The villa features smooth shapes with large wide cornices that create shaded spaces on the north side, by the pool.
The local climate conditions dictate the planning features - the house has many open spaces, ensuring good ventilation in all directions.
At the client's request, atrium openings were left in the inter-floor slabs for the existing palms.
The filling of the openings on the northern part of the villa is frameless glazing. The walls facing the south are laid with cinder blocks in a checkerboard pattern, creating an original appearance of the facades and serving to cool the rooms by not letting in sunlight, but allowing air conditioning of the rooms.
