Authentic ornament for the restoration of a Gurian sabre
Development of authentic ornamental decoration for the restoration of a 19th-century Gurian sabre. Due to the lack of original sheath decor, research was conducted on historical samples of weapons and ornamental motifs from the region. Based on the preserved decoration of the hilt, a new ornament was created, stylistically corresponding to the era and traditions of Gurian craftsmen. The project included research, composition development, vector tracing, and preparation of graphics for further engraving and restoration.
