Bathroom under the stairs: functionality in a complex space
Project of a bathroom located under the stairs in a reconstructed private house.
The main task was to use the space with complex geometry and varying ceiling height as efficiently as possible while maintaining user comfort and sufficient storage space.
The project successfully accommodated:
• a shower area with comfortable access;
• a suspended vanity with a sink;
• installation and hidden technical solutions;
• open and closed storage systems;
• additional storage space for household items under the stairs.
To visually expand the space, light finishing materials, large-format tiles, a backlit mirror, and hidden furniture lighting were used.
The result is a modern functional bathroom that fully utilizes the potential of the complex space under the stairs without feeling cramped or overwhelming the interior.
