Cosmic Fracture — Surrealistic digital portrait and concept art
Creation of a deep conceptual illustration in the genre of surreal digital painting. The main idea of the project is to convey the complex inner state of a person through the visual metaphor of the destruction of the outer shell, from which an endless cosmic space breaks through. The work combines classical portrait anatomy with elements of space fiction and a light gothic mood.
Artistic solutions and execution technique:
Central image: An emotional and realistic portrait of a girl with a deep, thoughtful gaze. Her face is covered with cracks, like fragile porcelain, revealing an emptiness filled with stars and nebulae.
Cosmic flow: Dynamic swirls of violet-purple cosmic dust, planets, and stars pass through a fissure in the head and burst outward, creating a strong compositional diagonal.
Drawing style: The work is executed in the technique of imitating living materials (oil strokes, textured brushes). The volume of the face and the textured knit of the sweater are detailed through contrasting light-shadow modeling.
