Task:
Create a thematic creative (hero screen) for an educational online platform for learning English, dedicated to prominent Ukrainian figures. In this case — Taras Shevchenko.
The problem to be solved:
Engaging Ukrainian-speaking audiences in learning English through familiar cultural symbols.
Creating visual content that combines educational goals with patriotic elements.
Increasing brand recognition of the school through association with prominent figures of Ukrainian culture.
The need for a modern, visually appealing design for the website.
My solution:
Central figure — an illustrative image of Taras Shevchenko in digital art style that attracts attention.
A text block in English — a short biographical note in English (for educational effect), including historical facts.
Contrasting background and accent colors (yellow for the "Explore" button) facilitate easy perception and highlight key elements.
Highlighting Shevchenko's quote in Ukrainian — preserving cultural value, which fosters an emotional connection between the user and the page.
Navigation menu (Biography, Privacy, Literary creativity) — allows the user to easily explore the topic further while remaining within educational content.
"Explore" button — a call to action leading to further educational material (e.g., learning English translations of Shevchenko's works).
Summary:
