Danse Macabre (from French - "Dance of Death") is an ironic artistic theme that originated in medieval Europe.

1. The essence of the concept: Death is the "great equalizer"
The main idea is that in the face of death, everyone is equal. In classical depictions, a dance is shown where skeletons lead people from all walks of life: the pope, the king, the knight, the merchant, and the peasant. Neither status nor money matters when the time to dance comes.
