Design for local production of paper lanterns Chyo:chin
Nukumori no Minamoto - local production of paper lanterns in Japan, Kyoto. The beginning of its inception was in 1919, founded by Hiroto no Minamoto, who created the first lantern for his wife. So that during long business trips he had to take, his wife had a warm memory of him - a paper lantern made of thin paper with a kerosene burner inside.
The design was created to present the main collection of lanterns, with the possibility to order a custom one and to familiarize users with the ancient and special history of production.
The project is infused with nostalgia and a special atmosphere. The design aimed to convey these very motifs. There is a lot of air on the website, a light and clear structure, and one accent - deep red.
