This is the story of those who, by the will of fate, have once lost the Fatherland and are trying to find it. The film tells us about the Cossacks who have been abroad not by their own will, but in the terrible years of deprivation, disadvantage and political terror, trying to preserve their lives, their identity, their language and their culture. They are now called oralmans. But they consider themselves part of a large Kazakh family that is broken around the world, and some of its representatives once found a port in Turkey. This film is based on a live story of two generations. Those who many years ago, passing through China, Himalayas, Tibet, India and Pakistan, left roots in the Turkish land that was not their real homeland. Some of them, like Muftihan-ata, decided to return to the land of their ancestors. And those like Ilya Kerim, who was born in Turkey, but also wants to find a new life in Kazakhstan.

The film is in Kazakh language with titles in Russian.
