Electric train cleaning pad — parametric model
A technically complex reverse engineering case. Task: to recreate a worn part in the form of an accurate parametric model for further industrial production. Since the part has a complex contact profile that replicates the geometry of a railway wheel, a complete 3D model of the wheelset was first constructed and then used as a tool to form an accurate cut on the brake block. This approach ensured geometric accuracy of the fit without the need for manual measurement of complex curves.
