Engineering CAD modeling: Pineapple Lamp (without supports, under
The project of a highly complex parametric lamp in the shape of a pineapple, developed from scratch in a CAD environment (Plasticity).
The main focus was on deep optimization of the model for FDM/FFF 3D printing:
Printing without supports: All external and internal geometry is designed with strict overhang angle constraints (overhangs up to 60°), allowing the lamp to be printed entirely without the use of supporting structures.
Lighting and diffusion: The internal geometry is calculated for a strictly defined wall thickness of 1 mm. This ensures ideal rigidity of the housing and proper light diffusion from the diode without visual layer artifacts.
