Experience with Silvus Technologies MIMO Radios
Extensive hands-on experience in configuring and operating Silvus Technologies MIMO radios in tactical and field conditions.
Responsibilities and tasks included:
Network configuration: Setting up and managing static and dynamic IP addressing, subnetting, and routing to ensure reliable communication across distributed radio networks.
Secure communication: Establishing and maintaining VPN tunnels to provide encrypted, secure transmission of voice and data between heterogeneous networks.
Video streaming over UDP: Configuring real-time UDP-based video streaming from remote devices to digital cameras and operator consoles. Integrated IP video streams into mission systems.
Software integration: Utilized Movavi video editor and related software tools to capture, display, and manage video streams on operator workstations in real time.
System optimization: Fine-tuned bandwidth allocation, codec settings, and QoS (Quality of Service) parameters to achieve stable, low-latency video and voice transmission.
Operational interoperability: Worked with Push-to-Talk (PTT) technology via IP configurations, ensuring seamless voice communication within radio networks and command centers.
This experience provided strong skills in practical deployment of mesh radio systems, IP networks, real-time media streaming, and secure communication infrastructure.
