Development of a microsite for the international youth forum GLF 2026 organized by Healthy Cities for Adolescents (UNICEF / WHO network). The site serves as a platform for presenting projects from six countries, the forum program, and engaging the youth audience.

What has been done
Custom Elementor Widgets
Custom widgets based on Elementor\Widget_Base have been developed for non-standard blocks: project cards with dynamic data from ACF, an interactive map of participating countries, a program section with filtering by forum days. Each widget has full control panels in the editor — the client can edit content without interfering with the code.
Non-standard Layout and Elementor Optimization
Unconventional sections for standard Elementor have been implemented: full-screen hero blocks with masks and SVG animation, an asymmetric grid layout for listing projects, sticky navigation with transformation during scrolling. Unnecessary Elementor styles (elementor_disable_color_schemes, elementor_disable_typography_schemes) have been disabled for clean CSS without override-war.
Responsive Layout
A separate breakpoint for tablets (768–1024px) has been worked out, where standard Elementor responsiveness "breaks" the design. Custom CSS classes have been used over Elementor containers, media queries in the style.css of the child theme. The mobile version has been verified on real devices under iOS/Android.
Performance
Lazy load for images outside the viewport, deferred loading of Elementor scripts on pages without interactive elements, CSS compression through merging critical styles. The final Lighthouse Performance score is 85+ on mobile.
