Illustration "African West"

I created this work in 2020, when I was just starting to practice drawing with paints and mastering the basics of painting techniques. This painting was my first attempt to depict a landscape. Before that, I mostly worked with felt-tip pens and colored pencils, so using paints was a new and important stage in my creative development.
My goal was to create a calm and harmonious composition, where the silhouettes of animals are combined with the warm shades of the sunset. I tried to convey the atmosphere of comfort and the majesty of nature through bright colors and expressive contrasts.
Techniques: A4 paper, gouache, silhouettes, landscape, gradient background.
