Project: RW-Trade Auto Accessories Marketplace
Development of a full-fledged e-commerce website design with a catalog of up to 5000 products — RW-Trade auto accessories marketplace.
Task: replace the prom.ua platform with a custom website while maintaining user convenience, but with a modern user-centered design.
Conducted:
Competitor analysis via Google Analytics
UX research, which resulted in a clear, logical structure.
All stages from wireframing to final design were coordinated with the client.
Design:
Website background: light, airy color to reduce visual load
Main accent color: gradient — a combination of technological turquoise and cold blue, associated with reliability, dynamism, and automotive themes.
Two responsive layouts with content stretching:
- Mobile / Tablet: 375px — 1280px
- Desktop / Laptop: 1280px — 1920px
Everything stretches, cards are added in rows, text does not break :)
The client wanted to separate wholesale and retail buyers:
- Implemented a popup on login where the user selects their type (wholesale / retail)
- In the header — a toggle for prices: wholesale - retail
- The client DID NOT want two prices (wholesale and retail) in the product card
Decided to avoid duplicate prices in the product card
Product filtering:
Problem: over 100 subcategories with unique filters (diameters, frequencies, sizes, etc., each subcategory has its own filters)
Solution: I devised a dynamic filter system that the administrator manually configures when adding products — this saved a lot of time and money for the client on designing 100+ unique templates.
Bilingual functionality: The site has a language toggle switch (Ukrainian and English)
When creating a product card, the content manager must fill in two text fields: in Ukrainian and English
A product cannot be saved until both languages are filled in.
Additionally implemented:
- Clickable prototypes (with animations)
- 3 logo options — the client chose an aggressive version: a car at speed + RW-Trade name
- 3 promotional banners on the homepage — I suggested products for them, leveraging my skills as a "Torevel representative"
Implemented a convenient and well-thought-out admin panel:
- Manage products / cards / filters / categories and subcategories
- Notifications and alerts
- Manage orders / filtering
- Manual currency rate entry with auto recalculation of prices
- Sales statistics and analytics by categories
Number of pages:
For users: 10 unique pages and 11 pop-ups
Admin panel: 12 unique pages and 11 pop-ups
Timeline:
~ 2 months (excluding weekends)
