OkayCMS — UX, Performance and SEO optimization of the online store (
Comprehensive optimization of the Dyson technology online store on the OkayCMS 2.4 platform, focusing on mobile UX, loading speed, SEO, and compliance with Google Merchant requirements. The project included redesigning the mobile interface, optimizing performance, and improving the checkout process.
Task
• Improve the mobile version of the site and the usability of the catalog.
• Reduce LCP, CLS, and other Core Web Vitals that affected page speed and stability.
• Optimize the catalog, product card, and checkout for mobile devices.
• Prepare the site for Google Merchant and SEO indexing.
What was implemented
• Complete optimization of mobile UX: increased touch elements, improved menus and buttons.
• Redesign of filters and sorting for mobile (drawer / accordion).
• Addition of a sticky "Buy" button on the product page.
• Image optimization (WebP, lazy-loading, srcset) to speed up loading.
• Elimination of CLS through fixed banner sizes.
• Optimization of forms and checkout: large fields, autofill, mobile-friendly UX.
• SEO improvements:
• meta tags
• Schema.org microdata
• Open Graph
• verification of sitemap.xml and robots.txt.
• Added anti-spam for reviews and basic technical optimization of the site.
