Don't miss life
Wedding music was playing,
The newlyweds were swirling in dance,
A loving, happy couple,
Their eyes shining with sunlight...
Years were flying by. The newlyweds
Were painting the picture of life,
Sharing joys and sorrows,
Learning from each other.
God sent them a daughter and a son.
They hurried somewhere all the time,
And the picture
Of married happy life became brighter.
They wanted their children to have everything,
They wanted a bigger house, they wanted...
Life distorted this desire.
In the evening, they sat down to discuss.
About whether he should go or not,
And sorrow pierced the heart with pain.
Yes, it will be hard there, in a foreign land,
A salty tear rolled down his cheek.
They sat... They discussed... He left...
Days passed, months passed...
Everyone was struggling, the children were sad,
They often called their dad.
But time erased like an eraser on paper,
The sketches of shared happy life,
Erased habits, joyful moments,

And dad came home for vacations.
They built a beautiful house,

The swallows had already finished school,
Adult life embraced them,
Dad returned from abroad forever,

How they perform at the school celebration,
How they go to confession for the first time.
Tears drip incessantly on the photo:
He missed all this, time took everything away,
The most important moments and minutes,
That he exchanged for money, never to return.
There is only one life, one unique life,
Everyone has their own life.
Don't miss those moments,
That are more important than anything!
Don't miss what cannot be returned,
For time takes everything into oblivion,
Don't miss it, so as not to look back —
And not see that you missed your whole life.
