Scimming: The Threats of Today

In Ukraine, one of the most attractive ways of bank card fraud among the afferists was and remains the so-called bankomat skiming. It is about obtaining criminal information from the magnetic tape of a plastic card and its PIN code. This method of electronic bank card fraud has existed for quite a long time and is a real danger for all plastic card holders.
The purpose of skimming
Making a duplicate of a payment card and removing from it all the cash in the ATM is the purpose of skimming. At the same time, the real card is at its legitimate owner, who does not even suspect that it is rounded. This is really a very bad and unpleasant situation that each of us can face.
Such a phenomenon, such as skimming, is quite common for Ukraine, so law enforcement officials systematically warn about the threat of bank cards fraud and attacks of skimmers.
