Content and SEO for a network of online stores (OpenCart)
About the project:
- Work in the internet holding "Gippere Commerce-group" (2011–2014).
- A network of 16 online stores (retail + wholesale) on the OpenCart CMS.
- Interaction with an SEO expert and OpenCart developer: participation in refining the CMS, testing, and fixing technical errors.
Niches: motorcycles, tools and power tools, garden and climate equipment, construction equipment, generators, fishing goods, boats and motors, tourist equipment.
Scale:
- from 1,500 to 5,000 products per site
- from 30 to 300 categories
Tasks:
- establish a unified content approach for all projects
- ensure SEO optimization at the structure and page level
- scale content without losing quality
What was done:
- Complete content management in OpenCart: structure, categories, product cards
- Implementation of SEO optimization according to the technical specifications: meta tags, texts, internal linking
- Development of a unified standard for descriptions, characteristics, and filters
- SEO copywriting and rewriting (categories, "how to choose" articles)
- Coordination of a remote team: copywriters, editors
- Quality control of content and compliance with SEO requirements
Result:
- A systematic approach to content management has been implemented
- A scalable structure for assortment growth has been created
- Search visibility of projects has been improved
- The process of filling and maintaining websites has been simplified
