Job 28 of 98
Coupon aggregator on a custom engine — multi-regional project (US / UK / DE / IT). Role: SEO consultant. Built the SEO structure, analyzed competitors, prepared specifications for implementation, and supported it.

What has been done:

1. SEO structure and catalog architecture
- designed the structure of categories and subcategories of coupons and promo codes;
- developed a tagging system based on low-frequency keywords by stores — for better ranking of brand pages;
- formulated requirements for SEO descriptions of categories (key queries, benefits for visitors).

2. Technical SEO audit
- identified and provided solutions for critical hreflang errors (relative URLs instead of absolute ones, unnecessary tags for non-existent language versions generating 404s and perceived as duplicates);
- diagnosed mass duplicates of title and description between regions (US/UK had identical metadata);
- prepared templates for unique titles and descriptions considering regional vocabulary (US: promo codes, deals, free shipping; UK: voucher codes, offers, free delivery).

3. Competitor analysis and UX for conversion
- analyzed leading coupon platforms (worthepenny, retailmenot, groupon) and highlighted strong patterns;
- provided recommendations for increasing conversion: focus on the exit "click on coupon → transition to store", removal of distracting blocks, more informative appearance of coupons (discounts in numbers, store rating);
- proposed structure for the homepage, category and store pages, FAQ blocks with FAQ schema markup.

Directions: technical SEO, multi-regional optimization (hreflang), semantics and tags, competitive analysis, UX for conversion, structured data Schema.org.
