SEO promotion of the website for the online store selling books
Comprehensive SEO promotion of an online bookstore was completed with the aim of increasing organic traffic, enhancing visibility in search engines, and boosting online sales.
As part of the project, in-depth analysis of the niche and competitive environment was conducted, and a semantic core was formed taking into account genres, authors, publishers, book series, and commercial search queries. Based on the semantics, a logical structure of categories and subcategories for the store was developed.
Internal optimization of the website was carried out:
— optimization of meta-tags Title and Description for categories, product pages, and informational pages;
— refinement of URL structure, breadcrumbs, and internal linking;
— optimization of textual content for SEO without keyword stuffing, focusing on user value;
— setup of Schema.org microdata for products, prices, availability, and reviews.
Special attention was paid to book pages: SEO descriptions and characteristics (author, genre, publisher, year of publication, ISBN) were developed, which allowed for increased relevance of the pages and CTR in search results.
Technical optimization was conducted: website loading speed was improved, mobile device adaptation was implemented, duplicate pages, indexing errors, and filter issues were resolved. The robots.txt and sitemap.xml files were configured, and Google Search Console and Google Analytics were connected.
Additionally, a content strategy was implemented with the publication of SEO articles, book reviews, collections, and author materials to attract informational traffic and further convert it into sales.
The result was an increase in rankings for commercial and informational queries, growth in organic traffic, improvement in behavioral factors, and a stable increase in orders from search.
