soloviy — an app about unity

Soloviy — a mobile application that allows storing and exploring Ukraine's linguistic diversity: dialects, Surzhyk words, phraseologisms, and regional expressions.

Technological stack:
• Backend: Java + Spring Boot
REST API with authentication, validation, and user content processing. API structured according to RESTful principles, with separate endpoints for working with words, categories, users, likes, and search.
• Database: MySQL
Relational model with connections between words, geography, categories, and user activity. Indexing of fields ensures fast search and filtering.
• Frontend: React Native
Cross-platform application with a lightweight, adaptive UI. Implements client-side search, dark theme support, dynamic loading of words, and backend integration.

Functionality:
• Adding and moderating new words.
• Filtering by regions of Ukraine.
• User authorization and profiles.
• Like system, popular words, category-based search.
• Role-based access model (users, moderators, administrators).

Goal: to create a platform where linguistic diversity becomes lively and accessible to everyone through technology and community interaction.
