Conducting a basic SEO audit and technical optimization of the website
A basic audit of the website was conducted, resulting in the identification of critical technical errors affecting page indexing. Main tasks:
Analyzed the website structure and internal links.
Fixed the issue with a large number of categories containing only 1 product — previously, filters were used as full-fledged categories, creating duplicates and confusion for search engines.
Optimized the structure of categories and filters to improve crawlability.
Configured the robots.txt file to restrict indexing of unnecessary pages.
Created and added an up-to-date sitemap (sitemap.xml) in Google Search Console.
Conducted verification and testing of indexing after changes.
Result: after the changes were made, the website began to rank better in Google search results, visibility of pages improved, and stable indexing of main categories and products started.
