The way of life after a stroke
For most people, life after a stroke will never be the same as before: it applies to both the victim and his relatives and close people. Brain injury, regardless of its extent, always has consequences. The severity of these consequences depends on the localization and extent of the pathological process, the quality and timing of first medical care. Not the last role here is played by the individual physiological characteristics of the victim, his health in general.
The most common consequences of stroke are divided into three groups:
● Physical: chronic muscle and headaches, weakness and tremors of ends, quota function disorders, disorder or loss of vision and hearing, intolerance, paralysis.
Cognitive: loss of memory, language and thinking problems.
● Psychological: depression, sleep problems, anxiety disorders.
