UKRAINIAN LULLABY
Project mission: peacekeeping, returning to common values as the foundation of peacebuilding.
One of the criteria underlying sustainable peace is education and shared values. We are all different in our beliefs, language, skin color, interests, and tastes. But there is something common that unites us all – it is the mother's lullaby. In different languages of the world, mothers sing lullabies to their little ones, conveying their love, protection, and guidance for a happy future.
Project goal: to broadcast the audiovisual work "Ukrainian Lullaby" on the buildings of Ukrainian and other cities around the world, to demonstrate at exhibitions, conferences, on screens of shopping and entertainment centers, etc., thus making it clear that maternal love and family are our universal human values.
Project description:
"UKRAINIAN LULLABY" - an audiovisual work consisting of the musical piece "Lullaby" - the author of music and lyrics is Honored Artist of Ukraine Lesya Ivanivna Shavlovska (pseudonym Lesya Tymkovska), audio recording - solo performer, voice alto Lesya Ivanivna Shavlovska (pseudonym Lesya Tymkovska) and animated works of visual art by artist Oleg Shupliak, depicting symbols of Ukrainian identity: family, bread, Ukrainian nature, storks, starry Ukrainian night.
A mother is the image of a person who wants the best for her child. She sings a lullaby at an important moment of transition from reality to sleep, putting her love and protection into the song. The second part of the work is a song by the grandmother and grandfather. He gathers the whole family around the cradle in care for the child's future.
Each of us, who is already an adult, has an image of ourselves as a little one in our soul. And this little self may also find it important to listen to a lullaby. It calms anxieties and worries, providing a sense of harmony. With the lullaby, we seem to receive support from our loved ones, whom we may not remember, or perhaps did not know, but would like to feel the warmth of their hearts.
