UnderBooks

Underbooks is a mobile application that serves as a unique library of Ukrainian audiobooks. The project was created by Ukrainian singer and volunteer Dasha Astafieva together with a creative team, aiming to provide Ukrainians with convenient access to high-quality audiobooks by domestic authors, both classics and contemporary writers.

Our work focuses on creating not just an app, but a complete cultural product that:
- Shapes the national cultural environment: We are building a unified platform for Ukrainian literature, increasing its accessibility and prestige both inside the country and for the diaspora abroad.
- Responds to audience demand: We enable busy people, youth, and all admirers of the Ukrainian language to consume quality content in a convenient audio format without interrupting their daily activities.
- Creates a sustainable ecosystem: The project ensures monetization for Ukrainian authors and copyright holders, while also supporting talented narrators and artists, contributing to the growth of the entire creative industry.

Implemented functionality:
- Exclusive content library: Access to a collection of audiobooks by Ukrainian classics and contemporary authors, regularly updated.
- Professional narration: Books are read by renowned Ukrainian artists and voice actors, ensuring high sound quality and emotional immersion.
- Unique visual design: Book covers created by well-known Ukrainian illustrators, adding additional cultural value to the app.
- Mobile audio player: A convenient interface for listening to books on mobile devices.
