Website for a manufacturer of motorcycle protective parts

About the project:

Crazy Iron, a manufacturer of protective motorcycle parts, approached us with the task of updating and enhancing their website for the Latvian audience. The main requirement was to create a user-friendly online store with modern e-commerce functionality, optimized for mobile devices.


Tools and technologies used in the project:

CMS: 1C-Bitrix.
Programming languages: PHP, JavaScript (jQuery, core-js).
UI frameworks: Bootstrap 5.
JavaScript libraries: Slick, OWL Carousel, Magnific Popup, Select2, Lodash, Moment.js.
Reviews: Trustpilot.
Performance: LazySizes, CDN Cloudflare.


The client's wish was:

Develop a responsive website on the 1C-Bitrix platform with e-commerce functionality and performance optimization.


Development stages and process:

Step 1: Design and prototyping

A website prototype was created, taking into account the client’s branding and target audience (motorcyclists and motorcycle owners).

Step 2: Layout and mobile adaptation

Responsive layout was implemented using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap 5. JavaScript libraries such as Slick, OWL Carousel, and Magnific Popup were integrated to enhance the interactivity of the user interface.

Step 3: Integration with 1C-Bitrix CMS

A custom theme was developed with the integration of essential e-commerce modules, including:
- Shopping cart functionality for order placement.
- Content management system for easy addition and editing of products.
- Built-in SEO optimization tools.

Step 4: Integration of additional features

Trustpilot was installed for collecting client reviews. Additional features included:
- WhatsApp Business Chat for real-time communication.
- Support for multimedia and Pinterest widgets.
- Cookie management tools via CookieYes.

Step 5: Performance and functionality optimization

To enhance loading speed, the following were implemented:

- LazySizes support for image loading.
- HTTP/3 and PWA technologies for improved user experience.
- The site was hosted on a CDN Cloudflare platform for increased speed and reliability.


Result

The Crazy Iron website was successfully updated and launched. It offers users a convenient and modern interface, a streamlined shopping process, and functionality for customer engagement through reviews and live chat. Performance optimization enhances the user experience.
