Vladimir Vysotsky achieved in the creation that peak that few could dream of in the Union—a sincere recognition, gratitude and trust of fans. Behind all these achievements stands the enormous effort and the impeccable determination of the poet: the Soviet art, half-deathed by a hard idealized censorship, came to the audience in a sad, distorted state; but Vysotsky, unwilling to fit into the dictated framework, brought his work to the judgment of the strictest criticisms — his listeners — and always gained victory.
