We have an existing website that is used as a platform for data science competitions. It uses the following technologies,
- Python 3, with flask and sqlalchemy behind Nginx
- PostgreSQL database
- frontend with Bootstrap3 and a bit of JQuery
The code is open-source on Github and you can find the website at https://ramp.studio/ We are looking for someone to help improve the platform by,
- optimizing the load time on some pages. Currently, with many simultaneous users (>50) the server can be slow, on some pages.
- add a few new features on the platform to improve UI
- a few existing bugs that would need investigating (e.g. a submit button that doesn't show for some users)
- possibly update from Bootstrap 3 to 4 or 5.
The work would happen on Github, and some experience with open-source would be appreciated.
