What are we looking for?

You’re 4+years experienced in Ruby on Rails
You’re up for mentoring colleagues and can give in-depth, productive feedback during code reviews.
You code with reason and can justify the important decisions you made during development.
You can communicate clearly in English, both written and verbally.
You know and can apply best practices when relevant. That means the usual like version control, testing, and refactoring.

Responsibilities:

Develop new functionality to the codebase and the product
Build and maintains code in Ruby on Rails and Sinatra
Test and debugs code as needed
Consume and provide APIs
Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures
Work closely and efficiently with teams members that include a Software Developers, QA, Product Manager and Project Manager in a collaborative environment
Suggest improvements to the codebase and the product improve functionality and new feature builds
Participate in the full development life cycle, including design, implementation, quality polish, and release

5+ years of Backend development experience
Solid knowledge of and experience with Ruby on Rails, Sinatra
Thorough understanding of Bitbucket
Experience with Docker and REST API
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Proven track record of delivering quality work on time
Enjoy working with product specialists to understand requirements
Strong interest in continued personal and professional development, inclusive of learning new programming languages and technologies
Experience incorporating automation and integration testing
