We are looking for a freelance Front-end or Full-stack software developer for our EdTech startup.
What we do:
Most people learning a new language in adult age consider it an exhausting and often stressful experience. They learn rules, memorize words but often still have issues communicating in this language. However, none of us learned to walk by following any rules. We learned it by doing, and by falling over.
Our charter is to enable people to practice new languages with drive and in a fun social setting. We leverage various online formats for language practice such as games, debates, and events with interesting guests.
Our team of four founders consolidates the experience in business, product, technology, and language learning. We have completed user research and testing developed product design and now working to launch the MVP.
Requirements:
• Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, and mark-up
• Good knowledge of JavaScript and its most popular frameworks (React/Angular)
• Good knowledge of backend development technologies (e.g. server-side
• JavaScript/Node.js, Java, Python) and related libraries and frameworks (e.g. Spring)
• Good understanding of modern cloud technologies, serverless functionality development, serverless databases
• Knowledge of API development and integration
• Good understanding of Docker-based development, containerization
• Practical knowledge and experience working with traditional databases, SQL, data extraction, and transformation
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD, auto-testing
