We just need to make sure that the orders that we receive through our website ( woocommerce) will be forwarded correctly to the POS system. Hopefully, no big changes needed. -
That dude just doesn't know what he's talking about. I've seen some of them on this site. They say different kind of nonsense about WP and I honestly don't know why.
In your case all that developer needs to do is hook into checkout process at the moment the order is created in WooCommerce (there are few specific hooks for that) and from that point do the API calls to the services you provided. Depending on the particular API it can be tricky in terms of synchronicity, but that's the developer's job to solve that kinds of issues. -
