Technical assignment: development of a stylish business card website for the Danish Snails farm
1. About the company
Danish Snails is an innovative farm in Denmark, specializing in year-round cultivation of the Mediterranean snail Helix Müller in closed greenhouses with controlled climate and ecological nutrition based on microgreens.
We create premium natural products:
- delicacy live snails,
- snail caviar,
- mucin for cosmetology
Our mission is to combine technology, nature, and aesthetics, creating clean, healthy, and unique Nordic-class products.
2. Project goal
Create a modern minimalist business card website (1-3 pages) that reflects the style of “Nordic eco premium” and tells about the farm's philosophy, products, and team.
The website should:
- create a “wow” effect through visuals and clean design;
- look good on smartphones and tablets;
- be light and fast;
- be easy to edit (preferably WordPress / Tilda / Webflow).
3. Structure of the Danish Snails website
1. Home
Task: create the first emotional impression and visually convey the brand's philosophy.
Elements:
- Background video or photo of greenhouses with microgreens and snails.
- Danish Snails logo + slogan “Powered by Microgreens”.
- Short introduction (1–2 sentences about the concept).
- Buttons/anchors to main sections: “About the Concept”, “Products”, “For Restaurants”.
- Mini-animations / smooth appearance of blocks.
Tone: clean, modern, Scandinavian, with an emphasis on naturalness and technology.
2. Our Concept
Goal: explain the uniqueness of the closed ecosystem of Danish Snails.
Content:
- Illustrated cycle diagram:

- Fully autonomous system.
- Use of solar energy, heat recovery, underfloor heating.
- No chemicals — only natural processes.

3. Microgreens
Goal: show that microgreens are both a source of nutrition and the basis of product quality.
Content:
- Types of grown microgreens: perko, alfalfa, clover, wheat, sunflower, etc.
- Biochemical composition: proteins, vitamins, minerals, enzymes.
- How microgreens improve the taste and composition of snail protein.
- Interconnection: snails fertilize microgreens, forming a closed natural ecosystem.
- Gallery of photos of microgreens and laboratory trays.
- Caption: “The cleanest feed on Earth — grown under Nordic light.”
4. Helix Müller Snail
Goal: reveal the value of the snail as a source of elite protein.
Content:
- History of the Helix Müller species, origin, and characteristics.
- Why it is valued: tender meat, balanced amino acid profile, high nutritional value.
- Impact of feeding microgreens on taste and texture.
- Comparison with conventional farming methods (naturalness vs. compound feed).
- Photos of snails, close-ups, possibly a dish on a plate.
- Quote: “Pure protein, born from plants and patience.”
5. For Restaurants & Chefs
Goal: attract the premium audience — chefs and gastronomic establishments.
Content:
- Block: “From our greenhouse to your kitchen.”
- We work with Nordic and Michelin-level restaurants.
- We offer:

Goal: briefly and visually present the range.

4. Design and style
- Style: Nordic minimal / eco luxury / bio tech
- Color palette: white / gray / warm gold / green of microgreens
- Typography: clean, thin, modern (e.g., Montserrat / Lato / Playfair Display)
- Dynamics: smooth animations, text appearance effects
5. Materials
- Photos and videos of the farm and products (ready)
- Draft logo (needs slight refinement, keep the idea of the snail spiral + microgreens)
- Texts and structure will be provided
- If necessary, a short text about the mission/brand can be adapted into English and Danish
6. Technical requirements
- CMS: WordPress / Tilda / Webflow (at the contractor's choice)
- Domain and hosting are available / or assistance in setup is welcome
- SEO structure (title, description, keywords)
- Integration with Instagram and Facebook
- Responsive layout
- Multilingualism (EN / DK) — optional
7. What the contractor needs to do
- Clarify the structure and propose 1–2 layout options.
- Develop the design concept (home + 1 internal page).
- After approval — code and launch the website.
- If necessary — slightly refine the logo and select a font.
8. Expected result
A finished business card website with the unique atmosphere of the Danish Snails brand, which can be used for presentations to investors, restaurants, and media.
9. Deadlines and budget
- Deadline: 7–14 days
- Budget: negotiable (depending on the platform and depth of design)
Logo
We already have an existing draft version of the Danish Snails logo (vector or PNG).
It is not necessary to develop a new one, but to slightly refine the current version to match the style of the website.
Tasks for the logo:
- Preserve the shape and idea (snail spiral, integration with the microgreens element).
- Add a background / background layer — neutral or textured (in line with the website style).
- Clarify line thickness, align proportions if necessary.
- Prepare options for:
- light and dark backgrounds,
- favicon,
- web headers.
- Color adaptation in the overall palette of the website (no more than 2–3 colors).
