speech on the radio of Malta

хочу зазначити, що я була запрошена на радіо, разом із місцевим волонтером, який допомогає українцям, аби дати інтерв'ю-подяку мальтійцям, текст якого мені потрібно було підготувати самій

hope you don't mind if I use the phone, I have a small note here

when I found out that Charles was invited to the radio, I was happy for him.
but when he said that "you would come with me!", I felt my knees buckle, even though I was sitting in the car.
for me, this is the first experience to visit a radio station and being represented by many Ukrainians. "it's okay to worry", i repeated many times to myself! so please understand and accept my feelings.
but it won't be an Oscar speech! you know
there is no red carpet here, but there is a problem with a red colour, colour of blood, fears and injustice, thats why we are here.
there is a war in our country, in my country.
we are not running away from a better life, we want to be safe: to be born, to love, to study, to work, enjoy our lifes...
Malta is not only a beautiful island, but wonderful people with open minds and big hearts. Malta gave us the opportunity to feel the care from the Maltese people, so... i wanted to thank Maltese people so much for your donations for helping us Ukrainian refugees stay in Malta. i wanna thank Charles also! and D., my host and his assistant M. too! thank you so much all of you
