Contest Task:
It is necessary to develop a layout with a creative design for the Freelancehunt corporate calendar for 2019. Within the framework of the contest, the freelancer will create a layout for 1 month (the month of the designer's choice). The winner will develop layouts for the remaining 11 months in a similar style and a cover as part of a personal project. The budget for the personal project is 5000 UAH (this is an additional payment to the contest budget — a total of 7500 UAH.)
What should be depicted in the image?
The calendar should consist of two equal parts:
Calendar format:
The format is a flip wall calendar with one image for one month.
The total size of the two parts is A3 (vertical orientation).
Requirements for the image:
For each month, one of the existing Freelancehunt stickers is selected and played out (stickers are attached). Creative combinations of stickers are allowed. The poses and details of the characters can be changed, but the overall concept of the developed characters should be preserved.
In the image for each month, we would like to see items that freelancers use during their work process: these can be pencils, palettes, mice, keyboards, mugs, etc.
As an option - each month is associated with one of the most popular freelancer specializations. But do not get hung up on this, as we are sure you can surprise us with your ideas.
The second part of the calendar, which includes the numbers and days of the week, should not be boring, but should be interconnected with the image in the first part.
What style should the image be in?
The overall image, as well as the textual and numerical information, should be in one style and closely resonate with the stickers.
Is it necessary to use their elements, color scheme, fonts? The logo should be present in a clear standard form. The color scheme can be expanded, as the number of months is large, and it would be boring to look at two basic colors.
Will you provide graphic elements in tiff, gif, ai, eps, cdr, jpg formats, etc., or do they need to be developed? The logo and stickers (png for the contest work) will be provided. Technical information that may be useful to you during the submission of contest options, as well as mandatory for the winner to follow when preparing the layout for printing:
Format - ai and pdf of the X-3 standard (PDF/X-3) with Prepress settings (this ensures the correct reproduction of all layout elements and accurate color rendering)
The color model of all layouts must be CMYK (i.e., all other models and RGB bitmaps, Pantone, etc. must be converted to the CMYK model).
The resolution of all images must be at least 300 dpi.
All texts in all layouts must be converted to curves.
Black text, borders, and other vector objects should not be composite but pure Black (0; 0; 0; 100).
Bleed of 2 mm for trimming, critical elements should not be closer than 3 mm to the edge of the layout (5 mm considering the bleed)
