It is necessary to create a print for a t-shirt.

Print assignment:

1) Format/size A3

2) Text options:

- "Old school is cool"

- "What is your superpower? I am a neurosurgeon"

3) Photo of the Gilly saw

Idea description: a t-shirt for neurosurgeons, who, like doctors, always have a special sense of humor 🙂)

It is necessary to create an effect of peeling/chipped plaster on a white background (wall), so that the words appear:

OLd SCHOOL IS COOL - this will imply the "power of the concept" of the old school of neurosurgeons (who still use not quite modern tools like the Gilly saw). Place the saw nearby, it can be "hung" on the same wall, as an example is meant. It is necessary to correctly create the effect of antiquity, chipped plaster, the appearing words, and the saw.
Beautifully and stylishly compose it so that there is a bright print.

Goal: to show that the "old school approach" of neurosurgeons was the first and primary - symbolized by brick and still has its strength, against the new approach - symbolized by the plaster (covering the brick), but at the same time, it appears and somewhere still yields to the classic - brickwork over time.

Separate answers to possible questions:
- The placement of words is not critical (horizontally or vertically)

- Whether to use uppercase letters or not is not critical, the main thing is that it looks good

- The color of the brick should be either "red" or a natural photograph (processed) (as in the examples)

- No three-dimensional letters! - on the contrary, we have them inside (embossing effect)

A good realization of this idea is needed. Your options and ideas with:
- Another phrase and the Gilly saw (A3 format) are welcome - here there are no restrictions on creativity.

Attached are examples of brick and how not to do it:

1) Example of brickwork and chipped plaster, even highlighted in red is the best transition option from masonry to plaster

2) No volume, as it violates the entire concept of the idea.

3) Not a bad realization, but not completed - the position of the saw is unclear

4) Boring and gloomy

5) No background - as there the white background of the saw appears - which is difficult to cut out and looks bad.

6) No need to highlight parts of the saw, we are not selling it, and it is just an example, not the essence of the print itself

7) Options without "options", an attempt to copy the layout and play with color. There are no variations here, primitive.

8) Gilly saw (maximum found quality and suitable image)

Update #1

Hello everyone!
Thank you for participating in the contest.
The winner has been determined (only by mistake withdrew the work, and should return it soon - I hope for that.)

Attached is the winner's work (we will make some more adjustments and it will be fine) (see Attachment No. 1)

What I especially liked:
1) Exact compliance with the terms of reference (not everyone read it to the end and remembered it ;)
2) The saw was played out as a smiley, which added a twist - that distinguished the work from the others
3) A free layout not cluttered with small (unnecessary) details.

If the winner does not return the work, then the favorite will be work No. 2 (see in attachment No. 2
