Hello, performer!

We are conducting a competition for the development of packaging for the product line of our new brand “Mollis”, using an already prepared logo.

We are looking for a person who can create a universal packaging design. Our company has been producing paper products since 1999. Previously, we focused on the market for cheap recycled paper, but now the market situation is changing, customers are becoming more demanding and no longer save on their own comfort. We are entering the market for cellulose products a bit late, but while there are still free cars in this “train”, we must manage to jump into the one intended for us.

The idea of the brand name was simple, Mollis translates from Latin as “soft”, which in our opinion perfectly matches one of the main requirements for our products that consumers have.

Target audience: Toilet paper, towels, and napkins are used by absolutely everyone regardless of gender and age.

However, we want to engage women more, as this is related to our further brand development and product range expansion. We also describe our customer as younger than older.  Our buyer has an average income, lives in a small or large city, and shops for groceries in chain stores. They do not skimp on their comfort and convenience. They love to try something new and have non-conservative views.

Competitors: Grite, Selpak, Сніжна панда, Soffione, Ruta, Zewa.

Designs we like: Hakle, Regina, Foxy, Velvet *

Since the list includes foreign manufacturers, for convenience in searching, add “toilet paper” to the specified examples*

Competitive advantages: Wide assortment, affordable prices. Price/quality ratio.  Very stylish and beautiful design that the Performer will create.

Tasks to be solved:

- Creation of a universal pattern that can change color and size, as it will be applied to different types of products, but we want to maintain a unique style.

- Creation of indicators (added an example of what it is about) of the main characteristics of the paper for the consumer. Indicators: number of rolls, number of layers, number of sheets in the package, number of perforations, increased size, presence of fragrance, 100% cellulose.

- Conciseness and restraint of the design. The product must stand out on store shelves.

- The final design on the back of the packaging will contain a barcode, product description, manufacturer information.

All elements of the final version of the design must be executed in .ai format using vector graphics suitable for high-quality printing; design examples during the competition can be in raster jpeg.

We also want to note that the technical assignment is more of a recommendation; do not hold back during the design and do not stick to any frameworks. The person who writes this technical specification has their own tastes and views,  but the final design will be approved by our team.

Size of toilet paper packaging HxWxD: 20x40x13 cm or 20x23x13 cm

Size of paper towel packaging HxWxD: 23x20x8 cm

Size of napkin packaging HxWxD: 12x12x10 cm

As you can see, the sizes of the packages are different; the task is to create a style suitable for these sizes, fitting to the millimeters of specific templates will be done outside the competition.

In the examples, I attached a layout of the toilet paper packaging. Brand logo. Logo font AppetitePro Bold. Photo example of the product in the packaging of another manufacturer.

Good luck!!!

P.S. We have a tradition of always keeping a few packages of finished products for ourselves in a small production museum. After the packaging is approved and produced, the Performer will receive the result of the finished product from the first batch.
