    Japan

    Information Gathering
Japan has a very rich history. Two years ago, I visited Tokyo for the first time. Since I was young, I have been inspired by this country and its cuisine. Then I started watching Japanese Anime and reading manga, from which one can learn a lot about this beautiful country, Japan. As I say, Japan is the land of cherry blossoms. Indeed, throughout the country, you can find many cherry trees with wonderful flowers. Nowadays, it is difficult to travel there; you need a visa and to know at least English. But I dared to go, and it was really worth it. There are many monuments that must be visited, such as: Asakusa, Tokyo Kamii & Turkish Culture Center, Meiji Jingu, and of course, one cannot forget the charming Kyu Kaneiji Five-Storied Pagoda. I won't list all the wonderful places because there wouldn't be enough paper. As I mentioned at the very beginning, the Land of the Rising Sun has a very rich history. Many legends have also arisen. As is known, Japan is famous for its ghost legends. And since Halloween is coming soon, I will reminisce a bit about this topic. Kuchisake onna - is probably the most famous legend in Japan. A woman dressed in black and wearing a mask approaches people on Japanese streets, asking the same question: "Am I beautiful?" If we answer "Yes," she removes her mask, revealing her slit mouth from ear to ear, and asks, "And now?" There are many endings to this story. Some say that many people have become victims regardless of the answer they gave. Others say that if you respond: "You look ordinary," Kuchisake onna will be so surprised by the answer that she will let you go. Satoru kun - is a new legend that emerged in 2002. The world has been overtaken by the advancement of mobile technology, and phone booths have slowly stopped being used. It is said that if you drop a 10 yen coin into a vending machine, dial your mobile number, say "Satoru kun, come," then hang up and turn off your mobile phone for 24 hours. After this time, the turned-off phone will ring several times, each time telling you where it is. When it rings for the last time and you hear that it is behind you, you must not turn around. You should then ask it the questions that concern you, as it knows the answers to everything. When you turn around and see it, the legend says that it may take you to the afterlife. There are many legends that evoke fear and a shiver down the spine. However, now I will bring up a culinary topic. As is known, Japan is famous for its diverse cuisine. The most popular dish, I think everyone would agree, is Sushi, which is raw fish. Another is Ramen, which translates to noodles, served in broth. Another famous Japanese dish is Onigiri, Tempura, Mochi. I particularly liked Okonomiyaki. I will end on this note. In a word, Japan is a wonderful country that I will visit again. I highly recommend it to those who, like me, love Japan. See you in the next article! Bye.
