First, honestly answer the question: what do you need the laptop for?
- only office programs, browser, email, video calls;
- studying (notes, presentations, online courses);
- light photo editing, simple video editing, working with many tabs.
For most of these tasks, a top processor and an expensive graphics card are not necessary. A mid-range laptop will handle it without problems.
2. What to pay attention to in specifications
Processor.
For everyday work, modern processors like Intel Core i3 / i5 or their AMD equivalents will suffice. They are fast enough but not too expensive.
RAM.
The minimum to look for today is 8 GB. If you like to keep many tabs or programs open, 16 GB is better.
