    • Energy express survey – Technical solution.

      Engineering
      Energy express survey is an energy audit aimed not at a general comprehensive energy assessment of the facility as a whole, but at the examination of one or several specific areas related to energy efficiency issues. There is no need to provide comprehensive energy assessments of the facility, nor is there a proposed system of measures to improve the energy efficiency of the facility. Instead, an energy assessment of a specific area is carried out, and technical solutions are proposed to address this issue.
      Such works (services) can conditionally be called "quick works." With a complete set of initial data, the execution time is 1 to 3 days.
      Among such services are: proposals for the implementation of boiler houses or solar systems, justification for the installation of heat supply systems, assessment of the thermal protection level of buildings, analysis and evaluation of the capacity of heat energy sources, and many others.

    • Determination of thermal loads for buildings

      An author's methodology has been developed for determining the calculated thermal loads of public buildings. An example of its practical application during an engineering energy survey (energy audit) of a building is presented. The methodology implements modern approaches to obtain the most justified and accurate thermal loads. This contributes to:
       Reliable formation of contractual loads with heat supply organizations.
       Economic justification of tariffs for thermal energy.
       Support and transition to a two-tier tariff, where thermal load is a key basic parameter.
      A feature of the proposed methodology is the development and application of a mathematical calculation model of buildings. Processing two types of assessments — calculated (theoretical) and measured (actual) — ensures a significant increase in the accuracy and reliability of the final results.

      Conducting a technical and energy analysis of the school building thermal modernization project funded by international donors. Identified critical shortcomings and provided recommendations for their elimination:
       Lack of substantiated initial data.
       Ineffective air exchange organization scheme in classrooms.
       Critical deficiencies in the individual heating point (IHP) scheme.
       Issues with the air permeability of enclosing structures and other engineering errors.
      An official expert report has been provided, which contributes to optimizing financial costs for thermal modernization and significantly increasing the actual energy efficiency of the building.

      The project aims to increase the energy efficiency of the heating supply system by optimizing the thermal network schemes with the implementation of partial decentralization.

      • Establishing individual sources of thermal energy.
      • Integrating modern technologies, including heat pumps.
      A complete techno-economic analysis (TEA) of the proposed technical solutions has been conducted, which clearly confirmed the investment attractiveness of the proposals for donors and investors.

      Assessment of the regulatory framework and experience in implementing ventilation in bomb shelters for the development of a technical assignment for the implementation of ventilation in children's institutions in Ukraine. The analysis showed the imperfection of the regulatory framework and the impossibility of effective implementation of ventilation systems before developing a general engineering concept for shelters.
